Fauzia Viqar specializes in women’s empowerment with a focus on legislative and policy advocacy and community development.  With over 15 years of professional and voluntary work with government and civil society organizations, Fauzia is recognized for her expertise in gender and race based discrimination and promotion of women’s empowerment. Fauzia was appointed the first Chairperson of Punjab Commission on the Status of Women, a statutory institution established by the Government of Punjab to promote women's empowerment and eliminate discrimination against them

Qaisara Ismail has been  a member of  District Council Sargodha from (2001 to 2005) and (2005 to 2009), Chairperson Zonal Jahaiz Committee 2003 to 2005, member of District Monitoring Committees Health , Education, Anti-corruption and, Advisory Committee of Sanatzar Social Welfare and Bait-ul-Mal Department Sargodha. She has been a Lead Trainer of Election Commission of Pakistan and a master trainer and resource person in various Non-Governmental and Inter-Governmental Projects on gender mainstreaming, Local Government, girl child birth registration, women’s leadership, life skills and business skills of women.    
     

 

 

   
Ome Kulsoom Seyal

Ome Kulsoom Seyal is the Founder Chairperson of Social Youth Council of Patriots (SYCOP), an NGO working on advocating and orienting youth by creating peace and interfaith harmony among them. She studied at the “NGO Management of Youth Programme for South Asia” on the invitation of the US State Department. She is also a chairperson of the Dar Ul Aman Management Committee in Muzaffargarh, and has been a founding member of several social initiatives such as the Crisis Centre for Women and District Coordinator of Child Rights Committee, Muzaffargarh. She has extensive experience in conducting trainings on teaching and good governance, and has been awarded the Best Master Trainer Award (National) in Non-Formal Basic Education System.

   
     

 

 

   
Prof. Dr. Razia Mussarat

Prof. Dr. Razia Musarrat has been teaching in the department of Political Science, The Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB), since 1984, where she is the chairperson of the Department of Political Science, the Director of Women Development Center, and the Convener of Board of Studies of Political Science and Sociology. She is also member of the Board of Studies of Political Science and Gender Studies at BZU Multan, Political Science and International Relations at Sargodha University Sargodha, and International Relations and Political Science at G.C University Faisalabad. She also served as expert on Board of Studies in Political Science at G.C. University Lahore, and Peshawar University KPK. She is member of Academic Staff Association, Academic Council, Board of Advance Studies and Research, and Senate of IUB. She is member of various committees in the University. She has organized and participated in a number of conferences and gender sensitization workshops nationally and internationally. Currently, she is working on a project entitled "Reforming Local Government in Pakistan".

   
     

 

 

   
Romana Bashir

Romana Bashir is the founding member and the Executive Direction of Peace and Development Foundation (PDF). She has been working on  Peace Building and Human Rights since 1995 and  a well-known, respected senior resource person in the areas of Interfaith Harmony, Religious Freedom, and Women’s & Minorities’ Rights in Pakistan. In appreciation of her work, she has been appointed as a consultant of ‘Pontifical Council for Inter-religious Dialogue’ by the Pope (Holy Father). She has developed training manuals on peace-building skills and has sensitized various classes and sects on peace and harmony.    
     

 

 

   
Ume Laila Azhar

Ume-Laila Azhar has been working as a women’s right activist and development manager, and is currently the Executive Director in HomeNet Pakistan, an organization that supports home-based women workers all over Pakistan. She has represented Pakistan many times at global conferences. She was a part of Initiative for Peace and Conflict in South Asia, an initiative of UN Peace Institute, and presented a paper during the Gender Summit in Srilanka. She was honored by The International Alliance for Women “TIAW World of Difference 2012” award. Her paper on HBWs was presented at Asian Solidarity Economy Council during RIPESS International Meeting of SSE. Involved in Regional, National and provincial level policy advocacy initiatives for women empowerment, she is directly working with government line departments at provincial and district level. With a deep understanding of women and human rights framework she has developed various modules for training purposes.

   
     

 

 

   
Shazia George

Ms. Shazia George is a women rights activist and Project Manager at “Association of Women for Awareness  and Motivation  (AWAM)”,  an  organization  working  for  the promotion of the rights of women particularly women with disabilities and women workers. She has an experience  of  5 years in implementing and facilitating various NGO projects and running  different  advocacy  campaigns for  the  promotion  of  human  rights,  democracy  and  peace, with a focus on persons with disabilities, women and religious minorities. She has strong networking with the different NGOs, CBOs, government departments and parliamentarians, and has worked on the draft of a bill for persons with disabilities which has been approved by Provincial Assembly of Punjab in 2012. She has designed the posters on Persons with disabilities Rights, minority rights and Democracy. She holds several awards in recognition of her work, such as a shield from the Pakistan Girls Guide Association (GPPA), another from Community based Inclusive Development (CBID) Network, and the Nelson Mandela Human Rights Award from Centre for Human Rights Education (CHRE) in Pakistan.

Prof. Muhammad Jalil Butt is a renowned applied sociologist, educationist, development practioner and lead trainer. He has served 30 years in development field in varies capacities at south Asia level. He is running DIPS (Development Institute) for last 7 years. DIPS offers different training courses for HRD and development practioner. He has always stressed on the right based approach for social development work. He is adjunct faculty member of RIPHAH International University, Post Graduate College Sahiwal, Allama Iqbal Open University .He is founder member of FANSA (Freshwater Action Network South Asia) and DANISH (NGO). He served as a Lead Trainee of UNDP in Election 2013. He is engaged with PCWD as member of commission and Law-Committee. He feels proud being feminist and working for women empowerment.    
     

   
Dr. Nagina Sadaf

Dr. Nagina Sadaf is a well known politician and human rights activist from Mandi bahahuddin and has remained very active throughout her professional career. She is a twice elected member district council and an elected member public safety commission Mandi Bahahuddin. She is the ticket holder for MNA by the party in 2008. Muhammad Zia-ur-Rahman

Mohammad Zia-ur-Rehman is the Founder & Chief Executive of AWAZ Foundation Pakistan: Centre for Development Services - commonly known as AWAZ, a leading national NGO in Pakistan working for securing the future of marginalized communities especially women. After his graduation from B.Z.University Multan in 1994, he completed a one-year course in NGO Leadership & Management from the Centre for Development Management – a joint venture of BRAC (Bangladesh), ORAP (Zimbabwe) and School for International Training Vermont (USA), and another one-year Social Enterprise Development course at Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS). A strong believer in civil liberties, Mohammad Zia-ur-Rehman is well-known for his grassroots community mobilization and advocacy work in civil society circles of South Asia and across the world.
