Punjab Commission on the Status of Women scheduled a meeting to share the survey indicators and the employers’ questionnaire with private sector employers on Wednesday 27 December 2017.
One of the key objectives of the PCSW Project "Generating Data to Advance Women's Social and Economic Wellbeing" is to generate provincial and district level representative data on the economic and employment status of women in Punjab and to establish a baseline for monitoring of Sustainable Developlemt Goals 5 and 8.
In this context, the first meeting was heldd with the private sector employers to find out what factors facilitate and or hinder women's participation and retention in the labour market and consequently affect their economic contribution. Based on the fruitful discussion, we have now finalized the questionnaire for the employers' survey.
The objective of this exercise is to review the survey questions and indicators and get valuable experience from empoloyers to include any missing points that will contribute to devise policy interventions to support and enhance women's economic and social wellbeing in Pakistan.
